2019 CBB Final Rankings: ICT Zone National Champions

04/10/2019

Here at the ICT Zone our rankings are molded after Ric Flair's famous quote, "to be the man, you gotta beat the man." The week's ranking are based solely on the week's results so if a lower ranked team defeats a higher ranked team, the two teams automatically swap rankings.

The season is over and with it comes the final rankings of the season. But before we get to the ICT Zone college basketball champion, it's important we give ourselves props for correctly predicting Virginia would come away with the national championship. We were a Michigan State win away from correctly predicting the final two teams but correctly predicting the national champion is a nice consolation price.

Last year, things worked out and the NCAA National Champion was also our national champion with Villanova sweeping both titles. This year presents a different result and based on the initial AP Rankings and our philosophy, the Marshall Thundering Herd are your 2019 ICT Zone National Champions.

We know you'll miss us and our college basketball rankings, but while we collectively wait for the next season you can check out our other takes on the sports world.

Guys, I am devastated. I let you all down last year. It was right under my nose that UConn would win the championship, but I missed it due to poor data collection. I began last year's prediction by saying a team with eight losses would win March Madness, and in listing all the teams that qualified, I somehow missed...
